Finding the Good Life
Through Philosophy

 About Me

I have over 20 years experience and practice in the traditions of Philosophy and Religion.  My work is centered in the Western Philosophical tradition, but also draws on the Eastern tradition as well as Western Theology and Archetypal Psychology.  I have done extensive study and work with the concept of the Self as it is found in Philosophy, Religion and the Psychological tradition of Carl Jung.  I earned my Bachelor of Philosophy (Minor in Religion) in 1995.  I am currently working on my Masters of Arts in Philosophy.

I love to inspire people to think about problems and issues; to help them gain new perspectives in hope that it will enrich their daily lives.  This is a part of my own life's work; my opus.  Our opus is our own unique life's work.  Pierre Teilhard de Chardin expressed this most beautifully when he said:

"Every person, in the course of his life, must build a work, an opus, in which something enters from all the elements of the Earth.  He makes his soul through all his earthly days; and at the same time he collaborates in another work, in another opus, the completing of the world."

Not every meeting here or in our daily lives will be a deep encounter with the Self.  But I think every meaningful encounter we have, in the end, adds to our own life's work.  This is why I practice as a Philosophical Counselor & Life Coach.  Working with my passion is life's gift to me and my gift to myself.  It is also my way to connect to others in their own journey.

Best, David
